A unique and not to be missed opportunity exists over the next five years for the community to support and influence planning in SEQ to achieve proactive natural resource management at a scale not possible through repair activities alone.

The SEQ NRM Plan is a program under Policy 4.3.1 in the SEQ Regional Plan which requires all land managers to contribute towards the achievement of regional targets.

SEQ Catchments is providing input to the development of key strategies and plans at a regional, state, national and international level to support the achievement of the targets in the SEQ NRM Plan.

SEQC has recently provided input to the following strategies:
• Sunshine Coast Regional Council - Draft Waterways and Coastal Management Strategy
• Brisbane City Council Outdoor Recreation Strategy
• Gold Coast City Council Statement of Proposals for Planning Scheme
• Connecting SEQ 2031 – Regional Transport Plan
• Sunshine Coast Regional Council Community Plan
