Our rivers, lakes and coastal areas are a key part of the landscape in South East Queensland.

They provide us with clean drinking water and support important agricultural, fishing and tourism industries and are also home to a wide range of animals and plants. Healthy, intact systems also protect us from impacts suffered during floods and storms.

We work with a number of partners, such as local councils and community groups to keep our coastal and aquatic ecosystems (such as streams, rivers, estuaries and mangroves) healthy for future generations.
