The SouthEast Queensland Natural Resource Management Plan 2009–2031 (SEQ NRM Plan) is the pre-eminent, non-statutory environment and natural resource management plan for the region.
It defines the minimum outcomes that the region must achieve by 2031 to maintain and enhance the ability of our natural assets to support our community, environment and economy to proper.
It articulates measurable targets for the condition and extent of environment and natural resources aligned to desired regional outcomes and policies in the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009–2031 (SEQ Regional Plan).
These targets have been agreed on by all State and Local government agencies, the community, industry and Traditional Owners based on the advice from the best experts and informed people in the region using the best information currently available.
SEQ Catchments is one of many partners responsible for aligning investment and activity towards achieving the agreed targets. SEQ Catchments contribution to achieving the targets is detailed in our Strategic Investment Plan (SIP).
